Business paperwork — invoices, receipts — generated in the browser.

What this family is for
Invoices and receipts are the paperwork of getting paid, and they repeat the same small arithmetic every time: sum the lines, apply a tax rate, subtract what has already been paid, and state the balance. These tools do that arithmetic for you, format the result as a clean a4 document, and let you save it as a PDF from the print dialog — without an account, a subscription, or uploading your client’s details to anyone.
An invoice and a receipt are different documents
An invoice asks for payment; a receipt confirms that payment happened. The fields overlap enough that people use one for the other, which causes accounting problems later: a receipt has no due date because it is not owed, and an invoice has no “paid” amount because it has not been paid. Both tools here produce a printable document from your figures and neither stores anything.
Both do the arithmetic that is easy to get wrong: line totals, subtotal, tax, discount and deposit, with the resulting balance. What they deliberately do not do is decide the tax rules — a VAT rate, a withholding rule or a rounding convention is jurisdiction-specific, and a tool that guessed would be wrong somewhere.
| If you have… | Use | Because |
|---|---|---|
| Ask a client to pay | Invoice generator | Due date, payment terms, amount owed |
| Confirm payment was received | Receipt generator | Paid amount, method, no due date |
| Correct arithmetic on either | Either — both compute line totals and tax | The maths is identical, only the labels differ |

Common mistakes with these tools
- Using the invoice tool as bookkeeping — It produces a document, not a record. There is no database, no numbering sequence and no record of what was paid.
- Assuming the tax rate is built in — You enter the rate. The tool applies it; it does not know your jurisdiction, and it does not round the way your accountant might.
- Printing without checking the currency — Both documents carry a currency selector. A sum formatted in the wrong currency is still arithmetically right and still wrong on the page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-in, no saving and no server. You fill in the form, the document previews live, and “Print” turns it into a PDF through your browser’s own save-as-PDF option. Nothing you type leaves your device.
How do I turn the invoice into a PDF?
Press the Print button and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination in the print dialog. The page ships a print stylesheet that hides the form and the site header, so the PDF contains only the finished document on a clean white page.
Is this a substitute for accounting software?
No. It produces a correct, presentable document and real line-and-tax arithmetic, but it does not store anything, track who has paid, or handle tax rules that differ by country. Treat it as the stationery, not the bookkeeping.
