SVG to PNG Converter — Any Size, Transparent or Solid
Turn an SVG into a PNG at the exact size you need — transparent or on a colour — rendered in your browser, nothing uploaded.

What this tool does
It rasterises an SVG into a PNG. Vector graphics scale perfectly but not every place accepts them, so a PNG is often what you need — for an email, a CMS field, a social post or an app that only takes bitmaps. Because the source is vector, you can pick any output size and get a crisp result rather than an enlargement.
Choosing the size
Set the width and the height follows the SVG's aspect ratio unless you give both. Render at the size it will be shown, or at double for a retina display; there is no penalty for a larger render beyond file size, and no source resolution being stretched. A logo that looks soft at 400 px came from a raster source, not from this conversion.
Transparent or solid
A shape on a transparent SVG stays transparent in the PNG — useful for layering. If a destination insists on a background (some uploaders do), choose a solid colour and it is filled behind the drawing, avoiding the black box that appears when transparency is flattened carelessly.
Limits worth knowing
The browser draws the SVG, so anything the SVG needs from outside — an external stylesheet, a web font it cannot find, or script — will not appear. Export from your editor with styles and fonts embedded or outlined, and the conversion is faithful. It is also a rasteriser, not a re-designer: it renders the SVG as-is at the scale you set.
Frequently asked questions
Why convert an SVG to PNG?
SVG is vector — sharp at any size but not accepted everywhere. A PNG works in places that reject SVG: some email clients, older CMS image fields, social-media uploaders, and tools that only take raster images. Converting also lets you fix the output to an exact pixel size.
How do I choose the size?
Set the width and height, or leave one blank to keep the aspect ratio. Because the source is vector, any size is rendered crisply — there is no original resolution to lose. For a retina screen, render at twice the display size.
Can I have a transparent background?
Yes — PNG keeps transparency, so a shape on a transparent SVG stays on a transparent PNG. If you need a solid background (many uploaders prefer one), pick a colour and it is filled behind the drawing.
What happens to fonts in the SVG?
Text is rendered using the fonts available to your browser. An SVG that relies on a font you do not have will fall back, exactly as it would in a page. To be safe, convert text to paths in your editor before exporting the SVG, then rasterise.
Why did my SVG come out blank?
The browser renders the SVG you provide; a file that relies on an external stylesheet, a web font, or script will not draw those parts. Inline the styles and fonts into the SVG (export as "outlined" or "embedded") or use a simpler file.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The SVG is drawn to a canvas in your browser and the PNG is produced and downloaded locally; nothing is sent to a server.
